Silver, downy soft leaves, mat-forming, spikes of rose/lavender flowers, heavenly to the touch, especially to children, and highly ornamental......  These all describe Lamb's Ear, a staple in my perennial garden for as long as I can remember.  Lamb's Ear may be an old-fashioned perennial, but it is still has its place in the garden.   Zones 5-9.  Quarts.  (Photo by Karelj, Wiki Commons, and in the public domain.)
