Helianthus "Lemon Queen" grows only to about five feet in my garden, but other gardeners have told me that their plants often reach up to a whopping eight feet, which I find hard to believe, but there you have it. Keeping that in mind, a place at the back of the border or somewhere in the middle might be a good plan. Helianthus "Lemon Queen" is clump growing, and although the clump grows larger each year, it is in no way invasive). Soft lemon yellow, daisy-like flowers open in late summer/early fall to complement asters and other late flowering plants. Helianthus "Lemon Queen" likes full sun; bees and butterflies like Helianthus, and that's what makes the world go 'round. Zones 4-9. Quarts.
